The Mystery Fax Machine Orchestra

Still going through old photos I'm afraid! The good news: I am nearly done with 2010. The bad news: I have a lot from 2009! It's fun to remember all these good times though.
Here's us off to see The Mystery Fax Machine Orchestra, a big favourite of ours run by Martin White, who is very talented, extremely nice and a big staple on the swinging London scene! Please check out the MMFMO, or try out the Kareoke Circus. It's kareoke with a live band and sometimes an entire orchestra. How can that not be absolutely brilliant?

This particular gig was at the Lumiere, with Foster & Gilvan, possibly my ultimate favourite anything ever. I was so excited!

Jacket: New Look
Shirt: H&M
Tie: Tie Rack
Dress: Borrowed from Lillian
Ring: Disney Couture

This was right around when I got obsessed with tailoring and all things tweed. I would wear my tweed hacking jacket in roasting hot weather. Worst timing, as usual!

Return of the silly French outfit!

Sorry for neglecting this blog lately! I've been busy with various bits and pieces, but now I'm going to get back on track- I'm happy to say I've started Lillian's Bombshell dress. I'm using this Craftsy course by Gertie of the New Blog For Better Sewing, and I can really reccommend it so far! If I had been working on this pattern on my own, I would have probably been very frustrated by now, but the classes are very straightforward and really good at anticipating fitting issues with this pattern (hint: the cups are tiny and there's a very good section on how to do an adjustment to get the right cup size) It feels really good to be sewing again, I can't wait to see how this will turn out!

Anyway enough ramble, this is meant to be an OOTD post!

This is the exact same outfit as last time, so the only reasons I'm even posting these is 1. Everything is better with Perry, and 2. I think I had nicer hair in these!

I still have a lot of old photos I want to post about, so they should be coming up soon xx

Disneyland Paris- Part 3

Okay, so it's the final post from Disney! Brought to you by Walt Disney Studios, home of the Aerosmith Rock n' Roller Coaster!

Disneyland Paris- Part 2

More pictures from Disneyland Paris!

I love Mainstreet USA, with it's 1890s nostalgia. There are even Gibson Girls and gentlemen in seersucker and handlebar moustaches running around. I love all the fake shop fronts and posters, it just makes me sad that I can't actually buy anything! I would definitely get these skates:

Disneyland Paris- Part 1

We went to Disneyland Paris in October 2010- I'm splitting the photos up into a few different posts.
We had an absolutely terrific time, October is a great time to go to Disneyland Paris- it's pretty much empty and you hardly have to queue! They also have cute Mickey pumpkins everywhere for Halloween.

Here's me outside my dream home, Toad Hall:
Poodle Jumper: H&M
Check Shorts: H&M
Pipe Necklace: Anna Lou of London
Tights: Marks & Spencers
Shoes: Clarks (Heh, these are my work shoes! They're the comfiest I have, standing in long queues always kills my feet.)

Axolotl Fabric

Fiddled with my layout a bit- I think it's a big improvement! I used one of my fabric designs as a background, this Axolotl Print.

Above is the fabric all ready printed out. I can't wait to use it, I have big plans for a dress for Lillian! I think the colours will be great for summer :)

Brighton Binge!

Fun daytrip time! I love daytripping, it's my favourite thing to do on my day off, especially if it's Brighton. I always feel like I've been on a mini holiday and come back all happy and refreshed.

It strikes me that my hair from this period would be quite fashionable right now- really overgrown roots with super fadeout. I could have been Tumblr famous if I was 2 stone lighter!
Cardigan: Topshop
Necklace: Cicely Margo (My favourite necklace of all time!)
Fairground Dress: H&M Kids (borrowed from Lillian)
Tights: Also borrowed from Lillian
Glitter shoes: Primark
Sunglasses: Shop in Brighton
